So, what’s a think tank?

A think tank is an organization that conducts research and develops policy for the purpose of impacting government, culture, and society. Those policies have the power to shape our nation and world.

Each think tank focuses on specific topics, like economics, environment, health, human rights and foreign policy, just to name a few. Some of the most influential think tanks in the world are the Brookings Institution, The Heritage Foundation and the Rand Corporation.

God created the family to be its own think tank. In the home parents teach their children about Him, helping

them to develop a Biblical worldview. This world view will serve as a guide to them throughout life, showing them what is right and wrong, and giving them insight into how they should respond to the situations and circumstances life presents. When believers learn God’s Word and apply it to their lives they become light in a dark world guiding others to Jesus.

Churches are another type of think tank God created. They are places where Christian individuals and families gather to study God’s Word, praise and worship Him. Church leaders help their members grow in their understanding and knowledge of the Bible so that they can share the Good News of Salvation through Jesus with those who do not know Him. The church and the family are the most important think tanks in the world because they were established by God to change the world through belief in Jesus!

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. - Deuteronomy 6:6
